Hi, I’m Saul from Trout Lake, Washington. Growing up, being outdoors was a huge part of my life. Coming from a town of less than a thousand people didn’t leave me a lot of options in terms of entertainment. Because of this I spent most of my time outside, biking, fishing, hiking and exploring the vast nature around me. These experiences led to a deep connection with the natural world that I want to carry into my career.
I decided to become an MAI intern because public land stewardship is one of the most important things to me. I am super excited to for this opportunity to take part in the field I am most passionate about. I am looking forward to spending my summer with like minded people while doing something I really care about. This internship is a great chance for me to learn tons of new skills that will help me continue in this line of work.
