I grew up in Connecticut as a Boy Scout with a troop that spent a lot of time hiking, camping, and surviving in the outdoors. Through that, I learned to appreciate and respect every minute spent in the wilderness. My love for the outdoors followed me into my teenage years when I got my first car and proceeded to explore every inch of Connecticut. I eventually moved down to Charleston, South Carolina for college where I spent much of my time at the beach learning how to surf and it quickly became my favorite activity. After graduating from the College of Charleston, I moved to Washington to be closer to the mountains and have enjoyed every adventure I’ve been on here thus far.
I decided to become an MAI Intern because of my love of the mountains. Having worked a plethora of jobs in many different fields, I’ve come to realize that I am happiest when working outdoors. I also am very passionate about protecting our beautiful public lands and I’m most excited to spend my summer exploring the wilderness while working with a team dedicated to conservation. I’m hoping to build a career out of conservation so that I can contribute to the goal of keeping our parks, forests, and mountains safe for generations to come.
