I am Benjamin Schweitzer (I go by Ben). Growing up in eastern Ohio, I spent much of my free time outdoors hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, or trying to fix up my old bass boat. I have always loved seeing new places and being on the water. Shortly after high school, I joined the US. Navy and worked as a diesel engine room operator/mechanic. I was fortunate to see many new countries and make some excellent friends. As my time in active service came to an end, I started out on a new adventure, getting married. I am now the father to two beautiful girls, and the four of us currently live full time on the road in our RV. Traveling this beautiful country and showing my daughters the great outdoors has been a dream come true. This opportunity with Mt. Adams will undoubtedly be a new adventure in itself. I look forward to the new perspective it will provide as an outdoorsman and the opportunity to give back. I hope it teaches me how to be a better steward of the land and how to share that knowledge with my friends and family. I am so thankful to Mt. Adams for this opportunity. Let the adventure begin!
