Mt Adams Institute COVID-19 Policy

In accordance with Mt. Adams Institute’s (MAI’s) duty and commitment to provide and maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards, we are adopting an organization wide policy requiring COVID-19 vaccinations.

We take this action with consideration of the importance of individually held rights / beliefs and the desire to safeguard the health of our employees and their families; our participants; our partners; and the communities in which we live and serve; from COVID-19, for which vaccinations significantly reduce risk of transmission.

This policy requires that all MAI staff and AmeriCorps Interns be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with the ability to provide documentation or have an approved medical or religious exemption.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) considers an individual fully vaccinated against Covid-19, if they are:

2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

If you do not meet these requirements, you are not fully vaccinated.

If you are requesting an exemption for any MAI positions, please use these forms:

MAI Medical Exemption Form
MAI Religious Exemption Form

Program participants serving at sites other than Mt. Adams Institute, may be required to submit additional exemption forms that are specific to those sites. Submitted forms will be reviewed by partner sites and MAI staff.
