I’m Conar Myers. I’m a Public Lands Steward serving as a wilderness ranger on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. My position entails day hiking trails and educating visitors about the forest and the wilderness.
I grew up on the east coast and like to spend my spare time windsurfing, dirt biking, snowboarding and engaging in many more fun sports. I graduated from Massasoit Community College with an Associates Degree in Diesel Technology. Before coming out to Washington for the program, I was a diesel mechanic focused on tri-axle tractor trail trucks. After a short while in that job, I realized that I wanted a career that aligned more with my interest in the out-of-doors. I was excited to learn about the program and am hopeful that it will create some opportunity for me.
