My name is Brianna (Bri) & I grew up in Queens, NY where I couldn’t successfully connect with my inclination for nature except for occasional camping trips to the Catskills. After graduating college with a BS in Criminal Justice & Sociology, I moved to the Poconos with my family & discovered an abundance of outdoor recreation (i.e. hiking, kayaking, fishing, etc). This helped facilitate my obsession with travel & adventure, leading to numerous cross-country road trips to experience more of this country than I previously had.
I decided to pursue a Mt. Adams Institute AmeriCorps internship as an avenue to further fulfill my passion for the outdoors & continue learning. I embarked on a severe career change by completing a historic preservation internship with the National Park Service in the Delaware Water Gap & felt there was even more I could do to preserve our land(s) & enhance visitor experience. I’m excited to serve in this position because it will be an incredible experience to positively impact a location I fell in love with years ago & hopefully make a difference for the land & it’s visitors for years to come.
