I grew up in South Florida where I took to marketing and media production at a very young age. I worked
as an Aviation Electrician upon enlisting in the Navy. While the work was rewarding, I had a particular
liking to photography and eventually studied graphic design. I am passionate about architectural heritage
in rural communities and frequently photograph built landscapes for documentation purposes. In many
ways, it’s a form of exploration.
I decided to become an MAI/AmeriCorps Intern to learn land survey techniques and methods. The
prospect of learning these techniques could facilitate growth in my studies on heritage. I am excited to
learn how these techniques may be applied to large scale heritage landscape studies while working in the
great outdoors. Furthermore, I believe it will be a joy to work with the folks at Ottawa National Forest.
