Meet Jules Gay – 2021 Public Lands Stewards Intern
Hi there! My name is Jules and I’m a PNW native who loves backpacking, being outdoors, traveling, reading, and basking in the sunshine whenever we get it! I grew up about 20 minutes outside of Portland, but didn’t get into outdoor activities until I was in college. My family wasn’t big into things like hiking, so it was something I discovered on my own, and it changed my life. Luckily for me, I live in Oregon where I have great accessibility to nature. I graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies in 2019 and my goal is to merge two things I am very passionate about-educating/working with children and the outdoors!
