Marie Weathers is a dynamic professional originally from Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up spending her summers hiking and camping in Wyoming and Colorado, which sparked her lifelong passion for the outdoors. Marie eventually relocated to Hood River, Oregon, a vibrant hub for outdoor enthusiasts, where she now thrives both personally and professionally. With over 11 years of experience in the outdoor industry, Marie specializes in sales operations, business strategy, and client relationship management. Her deep love for nature, combined with her unique blend of business acumen and leadership, makes Marie a strong advocate for positive change and a champion for the accessibility of outdoor experiences.
Marie later attended the University of Wyoming, where she deepened her connection to the mountain
regions and outdoor recreation. After college, she spent a summer working at Yellowstone National
Park, an experience that further fueled her love for nature and conservation.
As the owner of Cadence, LLC, she helps small outdoor businesses streamline their sales processes and
provides customized operational support. One of her contracts is with FlowState Collective where she is
the Director of Business Operations and Strategy, leading strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and
foster growth in the action sports and outdoor industries.
In addition to her business expertise, Marie has a background in vocational rehabilitation. As a Senior
Employment Training Specialist, she helped individuals facing barriers to employment by providing them
with the skills and resources to secure meaningful opportunities. This experience has strengthened her
commitment to inclusivity and accessibility—values she carries into both her personal and professional
life.
Outside of her career, Marie is enthusiastic about sustainability, community engagement, and outdoor
recreation. She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and exploring new activities, all of which
align with her dedication to environmental stewardship. Marie is also the proud owner of Walter, her
14-year-old dog, who has been her loyal companion on many outdoor adventures over the years.
