My name is Levi Clyburn. I grew up in Brevard, North Carolina. The area is surrounded by Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest. I spent quite a bit of my childhood outdoors! My favorite things to do in the forest and outdoors, in general, are hiking and photography. Swimming is also one of my favorite things. I was in the United States Air Force in Goldsboro, NC. I worked on F15 fighter aircraft. I graduated from high school in Brevard back in 2010, and my family members still live here.
When I first discovered the Mt. Adams Institute program, I immediately thought it sounded like something that was right up my alley. I decided to pursue it because of my love for the outdoors and conservation efforts. Any part I can play that is either directly or indirectly benefiting our ecosystems is important to me. I’m super excited about being a part of something bigger than myself and joining a team of like-minded individuals. I’m hoping to find a place for myself permanently with the Forest Service and go on as many adventures as possible along the way!
