Thank you.
Impact can be measured in many ways.
It can be seen in the trails maintained, habitats restored, and public lands cared for. But for us, the greatest measure of success has always been the people.
The veteran who discovered a new career. The young adult who found confidence in the field. The child who left camp with a deeper connection to nature.
These stories remind us that while conservation work leaves a mark on the landscape, it also leaves a lasting mark on the people who do it.
Looking back, we’re grateful for every life that became part of our story.

Every organization has defining moments that shape its journey.
For us, those moments included launching new programs, expanding opportunities, reaching new communities, and building partnerships that helped our mission grow. Each milestone represents a chapter in our story and the people who made it possible.
As we look back over the past 15 years, we’re grateful for every participant, partner, staff member, volunteer, board member, and supporter who helped turn ideas into action. Your belief in our mission allowed us to grow beyond what we ever imagined.
These milestones belong to all of us, and we’re proud to celebrate the journey we’ve shared together.

Meet the 2026 Land Stewards! 🌲
This year’s cohort comes from across the country, bringing unique experiences, fresh perspectives, and a shared passion for protecting our public lands. From veterans and recent college graduates to career changers and lifelong outdoor enthusiasts, each intern has their own story and a common goal: caring for the places we all love.
Over the coming months, they’ll gain hands-on experience alongside our partners, build valuable conservation skills, and help steward trails, forests, and recreation areas across the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.
Join us in welcoming the 2026 Mt. Adams Institute Land Stewards! We can’t wait to see what they’ll accomplish this season. 💚

When Mt. Adams Institute was founded in 2011, we never imagined just how far the journey would take us.
What began as a small organization in the Pacific Northwest grew into programs that created opportunities across more than 13 states, from Alaska to Florida, and even Puerto Rico.
While our reach expanded, our mission stayed the same: connecting people with meaningful experiences in conservation, natural resources, and public service.
No matter where our participants served, they became part of the same community, united by a shared commitment to stewardship, learning, and caring for the places we all value.
Looking back, we`re incredibly proud of how far this journey reached, and even more grateful for the people we met along the way.
