Serving through AmeriCorps on the Mark Twain National Forest I have gained numerous experiences and knowledge that I will be able to apply furthermore into a career position with the Forest Service. I have been fortunate to be surrounded by those who support my decisions towards my career path and I feel that is very important to have. Having respect for others and yourself with an open communication forum between you and your supervisor will ultimately set you up for success.
Not everybody knows what they want to do with so many doors to walk through or what next steps to take but if it feels right, pursue it. If it lights up your passion go for it! Life is too short to sit and wonder what you should’ve, could’ve, and would’ve done. Everybody is rooting for you but the biggest cheerleader is yourself! Strive for greatness, aim high, and you will see transformation.
