I grew up in a very rural part of eastern Texas. Every day for me growing up was in the woods, sometimes hunting or fishing with my dad. Ever since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to work for an organization like the Forest Service, originally as a game warden.
A year after I graduated high school, I joined the Army and served a 2 1/2 year term where I deployed to Afghanistan for six months. After leaving the military, I moved to Colorado to go to school. I’ve always had a fascination for science so I majored in environmental science with a focus on ecological restoration. My goals are to finish my degree and to get a permanent position with the Forest Service.
