I grew up in Texas but moved to Carnation, WA during the latter half of my childhood. I have many siblings and soon began experiencing the beauty of the PNW with my family – mostly my father and brothers.

During adulthood, I have continued to visit wilderness regions but have done so mostly in solitude. I enjoy reading, haiku, archery, rock climbing, backpacking, camping, and looking at the sky. The last activity mentioned is probably my favorite.

I sought this position because I love work that has a hands-on, arduous, and rugged nature; and also, because I am in love with the outside air. If I were able, I would spend the remainder of my days and nights outside. I am most thrilled about hard, fulfilling labor and hope to acquire further experience, friends, and a career path throughout this excellent and remarkable opportunity.

I am giving an indigo dye workshop at my studio in Trout Lake for the Mt. Adam’s Institute and Cascade Mountain School on Saturday, October 13 from 1-4:30pm and two spots have become available. 💙
.
.
The registration fee will be 100% donated to these two amazing organizations that strengthen the connection between people and the natural world through education, service and research. 💙
.
.
We will be harvesting indigo from the flower farm, exploring diverse shades of blue, playing with indigo eco prints, creating shibori patterns and dyeing both cotton and silk fibers. 💙
.
.
If you are interested please join us. Link in profile. 💙 #naturaldye #indigo #flowerfarmer #cascademountainschool
