My name is Deonza Mohamed. I was born and raised in California. I am a U.S. Navy Veteran with 16 years of military service. My main job while serving was satellite communications. I am a lifelong university professional currently working on my fifth college degree in Biological Sciences. I am excited to learn more about life and the natural realm, and I am in awe of the beauty of nature created by God.
I decided to become a Mt. Adams Institute AmeriCorps Intern as I found it fascinating, given that they provide opportunities to work in science and research internships. I am excited about my new position as it is something I have looked for, for a long time, and I hope to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience on the job. I want to make a difference and do something good for our earth and biosphere. With gratitude.
