Chevelle Malone

by | Board Member

Chevelle is an Army veteran who retired following 20 years of active-duty service. She is devoted to her family and dedicated to getting outdoors as much as possible through hiking, backpacking, and sharing her love of nature with her children. With teaching experience at both secondary and higher education institutions, Chevelle loves exploring the interconnectedness of humans and the natural environment, and hopes to provide more opportunities for everyone to be able to safely experience the outdoors.

Shaped as a youth by formative outdoor experiences such as Northwest Youth Corps, Chevelle views serving as an MAI board member as an opportunity to positively impact those like her—whether it’s a youth searching for purpose or a veteran seeking their next opportunity. She’s excited for the chance to contribute to MAI’s mission of strengthening the connection between people and the natural world.
