My name is Alex Cohen. I was born just outside of D.C. but moved to the PNW in elementary school and grew up on Bainbridge Island in Washington. I have always been an active person – I played a variety of sports growing up which turned to outdoor recreation as I got older. My favorites are climbing, skateboarding, skiing, backpacking, and surfing. I attended college at Middlebury College and Washington State University, where I received my bachelor’s degree in 2020. Since then, I have been working in Seattle and traveling as much as I can.
I decided to join Mt. Adams Institute in order to further explore my passion for the outdoors and to see what kind of career opportunities exist and how they would fit me. I am looking forward to connecting with other people who share my enthusiasm for environmental preservation and outdoors living. Also unbelievably excited to live and work in some of the most beautiful areas of this country!
