Hi everyone, I’m Sienna! I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and grew up with a love for the natural world around me. I graduated with my B.S. in Biology from the University of Central Florida in 2022. Since then, I’ve spent my time working various seasonal technician jobs and exploring the country when I could. I enjoy helping and birding, especially in new areas. I also love photographing nature in my spare time.
My experience working as a technician at another National Wildlife Refuge initially drew me to my MAI Americorps Land Stewards Internship. I immensely enjoyed my experience working with refuge biologists, and I want to pursue further opportunities to engage with the Fish & Wildlife Service and National Wildlife Refuge System. The MAI Land Stewards Internship seems to be a great way to embrace my love of the outdoors while giving back at the same time. I am excited to dedicate my efforts to vital conservation projects benefitting the Mt. Adams area. I’m genuinely looking forward to working hard and making lifelong connections with my peers and other people I meet along the way.
