I grew up on a small farm in rural Nebraska. From a young age, I was taught to appreciate the outdoors and to take care of the land that takes care of us. Most of my free time is spent backpacking, hiking, camping, and generally spending time outdoors. Once I graduated high school, I started college at Peru State in Nebraska, where I earned a Bachelor of Science.
There will always be a place in my heart for the rolling prairies of Nebraska, but I’m eager to get closer to the mountains. Taking care of our National Forests is what I hope to devote my life to, and I am excited about the prospect of meeting people who share my passion for that line of work.
