Zach Teel is a veteran of the United States Army, serving four years of active duty from 2009 to 2014. In those four years, he deployed to Afghanistan twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2015, he was accepted into Mt. Adams Institute’s VetsWork and was subsequently hired full-time by the Gifford PinchotmNational Forest (GPNF) as their Forest Headquarters Visitor Services Assistant.
In 2021, after other upward career transitions, he was hired as the GPNF Occupational Health & Safety Manager. Zach has enjoyed forming roots here, and although, as he says, “I am a Pacific Northwesterner by birth, my sense of place has never been stronger than it is now.
Zach loves getting outdoors and hiking the myriad trails the landscape has to offer. He also
loves sharing that with others
