Season 11 will be unlike any other! We are responding to pandemic restrictions by moving the 2020-21 season entirely online – and with this change comes great opportunity. Sponsors for Season 11 will be helping us launch a number of important initiatives:
-
- We will be recording all lectures and making them available online, for free. This begins the important process of archiving the stories and knowledge of this place.
- For the first time ever we’ll be presenting a speaker every month, October through April – 7 lectures in all.
- We will have our first ever lecture offered in both English and Spanish (December).
- We have launched the Dear Neighbor Project as a complement to this season. We may not be able to gather in large groups, but we can still connect. People of all ages and backgrounds are invited to share their unique experiences with each other. Book clubs, kids at homeschool, churches, work places, everyone in the Gorge is welcome to write, and some letter-writers may be asked to read their letters for the Hear in the Gorge podcast.
